In the heart of the Cilento coast
Pensione Zio Attilio is located along the coast between Marina di Casal Velino and Pioppi, right in the centre of the Cilento shoreline, just steps from the sea. A location that puts the whole area within easy reach: heading north or south, sea and history alternate without long journeys.
A few minutes from us you'll find Velia, with its archaeological excavations and the famous Porta Rosa, and the Mediterranean Diet Museum in Pioppi, where scientist Ancel Keys spent over forty years studying the local population's diet — two of the most significant stops in all of Cilento. A little further away, but still easy to reach in a single day, are the Doric temples of Paestum, the sea caves of Palinuro and the Punta Licosa nature reserve, along with the village of Castellabate and the striking Certosa di Padula, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Being here, right on the coast, means being able to choose what to discover every day — without ever having to travel far to reach it. And in the evening, after a day of sea and culture, you're always back in time to enjoy Zio Attilio's cooking together on the terrace, with the sea right in front of you.
